SITTING FEE
The sitting (photo session) fee in PET SUPPLIES "PLUS" or one of our other
pet store locations is $9.95. (Regular session fee is $35.00) Due to
the high demand for our services, we can only allow one 20 minute photo
session per family/household for our special pet store location price of
$9.95. If you have more than three pets, please call the studio to discuss
your needs and options. There is an additional fee for more than three
dogs.
APPOINTMENTS
We work by appointment and allow about 20 minutes to photograph your pet(s) and
view your portraits. This is normally enough time to complete a photo
session. As hard as we try to stick to the schedule, occasionally we may
run behind due to customers arriving late or working with pets that are
just not in the mood to pose for pictures. We thank you now for your
understanding and patience should that occur. We may not be able to
accommodate customers who totally miss their appointment time. If you are
running late, a courtesy phone call to the photographer in the store is
always helpful.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cannot make it to the photo session for any reason, please call
the studio to cancel.
For weekend appointments, Please call by 9AM the day of the session.
For weekday appointments, Please call by noon the day of the session.
If you DON'T call to cancel and don't show up, if and when you choose
to rebook another appointment, the sitting fee discount will not apply and
the sitting fee will be our regular price of $35.00
THE PHOTO SESSION
The photographer will take several different poses with a variety of
backdrops and props. We carry several different backdrops including
current holiday/seasonal backdrops with us. We can usually photograph
multiple pets both individually and together. Pet parents and/or children
can be included in some of the portraits at no extra charge. Because of
the portable nature of our equipment and the limited space we have at the
pet stores, family portraits must be limited to four adult average sized
individuals and no more than two large size dogs or three small dogs. Most
teenagers will fall into the “adult size” category. If you are unsure,
please call the studio to discuss your concerns with the photographer.
VIEW IMAGES, PLACE ORDER AND PAY TODAY
You will view the digital images immediately after the photo session,
choose the poses you like, place your order and pay in full. You pay PET SUPPLIES "PLUS"
directly and can use cash, check, debit card or credit card. Prices start
from $24.99 and go up to whatever you feel like spending.
PICK UP DATE
The pictures are delivered back to the store about 2 weeks after the photo
day. You will be advised of the exact delivery date.
You can come any day after that date to pickup your portraits. Ask at the front
register or store manager when picking up.
EXTRA ACTIVE DOGS
Your dog must be able to sit on the posing table while under your command
or control.
Generally, if your pet is not calm enough to sit still for at least one
picture within 10-12 minutes, the photo session will have to end. Ten
minutes might not seem like a long time to you or me, but to a dog who
doesn’t want to sit still; it is a very long time. The photographer will
give you tips on how to help your dog pose for pictures.
If you have two large active dogs, consider bringing someone to help you.
If you are bringing more than two pets, you will probably need an
assistant.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Due to concern for the health and safety of all pets and people, we are
not able to photograph:
• Pets coming into heat, in heat, or recently in heat.
• Aggressive dogs
• Pets with fleas or skin disease
• Pets with Kennel Cough or other communicable illness
GIANT BREEDS
Because of the portable nature of our photographic equipment and space
limitations, we may not be able to accommodate giant breeds in all stores.
If you have a Great Dane, St Bernard, Irish Wolfhound, Mastiff or other
giant breed, please contact the photographer before making an appointment.
NOTE
Occasionally an animal may exhibit signs of extreme stress. Amongst our
photographers are former Veterinary Technicians, Dog Trainers, Show Dog
Handlers and Groomers with many years of both pet photography and animal
handling experience. They will recognize when an animal is too
uncomfortable to continue. If the photographer decides not to continue
with the photo session, please understand it is in the best interest of
your pet. The photographer’s decision is final.
Please turn off all cell phones when the photo session starts,
as your full attention is required for the safety of your pet.
